Background
He has been a consultant since 2003. His training is in heart rhythm problems (cardiac arrhythmias), cardiac devices (ICDs and pacemakers) and in inherited cardiac conditions.
His research was focussed on AF and he has published over 50 peer reviewed journal articles related to cardiac arrhythmias.
He is the clinical lead and senior consultant in the largest single centre for arrhythmia treatment in the UK.
He prides himself on being a good communicator and being able to find solutions to patients heart rhythm problems which often cause major problems in their life.
As a keen sportsman, he is sympathetic to the extra demands that sport’s enthusiasts require their heart to cope with. He sees a lot of patients where heart rhythm problems, especially AF, are getting in the way of their sport.
