Background
He graduated from The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research in Pondicherry, India in 1995 as the Best Outgoing Undergraduate in his year, before moving to the UK for post graduate training. Following his general medical post-graduate training in the North East of England, he entered specialist training in Clinical Oncology in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2000. He gained Fellowship of The Royal College of Radiologists (UK) in 2003.
On completion of specialist training, he was appointed Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the world renowned Christie Hospital in 2005 and has particular interests in the treatment of breast and rectal cancers. He is also the clinical lead for the Satellite Radiotherapy Centre.
He has a special interest in the management of metastatic spinal cord compression and is the clinical lead of the service he developed for this condition.
