Appointed Consultant in Respiratory Medicine in May 2001 and is now Professor of Respiratory Medicine. His sub-specialty interest is in respiratory infection with expertise in bronchiectasis, pneumonia and mycobacterial infections (Tuberculosis and environmental mycobacterial infection).

Clinical interests and areas of expertise
Professor Hill’s sub-speciality interest is in respiratory infection with expertise in bronchiectasis, pneumonia and mycobacterial infections (Tuberculosis and environmental mycobacterial infection).
Research interests
He is actively involved in clinical and translational research in bronchiectasis, pneumonia and tuberculosis. He is also involved in the British, European and American Guidelines for pneumonia and bronchiectasis.
