Background
An Academic Clinical Radiologist specialising in Gastrointestinal Imaging. After a short time as a consultant at St Marks hospital, in 2005 he moved to London as a clinical academic and was appointed Professor of Medical Imaging in 2011. His clinical and academic expertise align around Gastrointestinal Radiology. He has particular experience in CT colonography, colorectal cancer detection and staging and all aspects of small bowel imaging, particularly in the context of Crohn’s disease. He is skilled in general cross sectional imaging in oncology as well as peri-anal fistula MRI and endoanal ultrasound. He sits on several consensus guideline committees for gastrointestinal disease including the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) guideline committee, Association of Coloproctology guideline committee for imaging colorectal cancer and European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal radiology (ESGAR) committees for CT colonography and Imaging in IBD.

Training
His medical training was at St Bartholomew’s hospital, London and radiological training at University College Hospital, London. He also underwent specialised training in Gastrointestinal Imaging at St Marks Hospital, Harrow where he undertook an MD in CT colonography.
